1 Where the deposit is by cheque, Fixed Deposit Certificate is good only when the cheque is honoured.
If the cheque is dishonoured this certificate will be invalid.
2 In opening a Fixed Deposit Account, the Depositor agrees to abide and to be bound by the Rules and
Regulations of the Society from time to time governing Fixed Deposit Account. The Society reserves
the right to add, delete, alter and amend any of these rules and regulations at any time.
3 The Fixed Deposit Certificate is not transferable or negotiable.
4 Any person wishing to open a Fixed Deposit Account should complete all relevant forms provided by
the Society. The acceptance and continuation of an account is entirely at the discretion of the Society.
5 Fixed Deposit amounts should be in multiples of $1,000/-
6 A Fixed Deposit Certificate will be issued in respect of each deposit.
7 The sum deposited or any part thereof is not withdrawable until the maturity date. If withdrawn before
maturity date no interest will be paid.
8 On withdrawal or renewal, the Depositor should complete the instructions which are printed on the
reverse of the Fixed Deposit Certificate. The duly completed Fixed Deposit Certificate must be
presented on withdrawal or renewal of the Deposit.
9 Should the Fixed Deposit Certificate be misplaced, an approved indemnity must be furnished before
payment is made or a duplicate certificate is issued.
10 The Society has the right to suspend or abandon this scheme without assigning any reason except that
all existing fixed deposit contracts shall be fully honoured. |
